Emporium Update: Bad Moon Rising, a werewolf default.

I've uploaded the werewolf skin I was working on.  Details over at the Emporium at the bottom of the page.

It looks great! Downloaded!

Heaven knows when I'll get to play again, but I did keep my old computer with my games loaded on it, and I promised myself long ago that I'd switch to your defaults once the legacy was over. I remember test-driving the regular skintones and the S3 and S4 skintones were TOTAL WIN.

So now I have all your supernaturals, INCLUDING werewolves, to match!

Remind me what you do with your witches. Do you have a no-overlay hack in or something?

Thank you!

Well, it will always keep until you do get to play again.

The S3 and S4 are actually my favourite skintones. I really feel like I achieved exactly what I wanted with them: smooth and lovely looking, but still just cartoony enough for my aesthetic.

Yeah, I have a no overlay hack for the witches. I'm still trying to decide exactly what to do with them in my game (toying with the idea of making them over to look poor), but the sparkly and green overlays don't fit in with the neighbourhood.

They're quite lovely. :D The only thing I'm not a huge fan of are the teeth (didn't like them when I first saw Trapping using them), so I'm wondering if you would mind if I edited them for my own personal use to use the "normal" maxis teeth? If not, that's cool and I'll cope. It's not like I have huge packs of werewolves running around at the moment anyway.

Of course I don't mind. Do what you want with them. :D

Actually, if you want, I can let you have the original bmps (there are only two, since you can't see any difference between the adult and teen faces with all the fur), so that you don't get any degradation on exporting the textures.

That would be fantastic! I've never made defaults before, but there are enough tutorials out there that I should be able to figure it out. Thanks!

https://app.box.com/s/t17wktpotezgctt4yc1h There you go. It's pretty simple, and is just like making a recolour on any object. Just open my default file in SimPe. Each texture is clearly labelled with what it is. Select the one you want to change. Right click on it in the plug in view and select build DXT. Click open. Find the bmp you want to replace it with and build. Right click on the texture in plug in view again and update all sizes. Click commit. Repeat for each face file. Done. :D

Thank you! I had found a tutorial, and it basically said to do exactly that. *claps hands excitedly* I'll share pics when I finish. :D

Looking great! And they go together well with the rest of your skins, too. :)

Thank you! I'm rather pleased with them. Although it's unlikely that there will be werewolves running around Regalton an time soon, it's nice to have them just in case.
